Mobile devices assume new prominence for product searches

Mobile devices are the tool of choice for almost half of consumers who search for local products and services, according to a study by xAd and Telemetrics. The study suggests mobile-ad conversion rates are highly responsible to ad-relevancy rates. "What was really interesting this year was how important mobile is becoming not only as a media for more urgent or immediate needs but for research in general," said Monica Ho, vice president of marketing at xAd.
