Netscape founder sees cheap Android phones flooding world

The world will be flooded with inexpensive, $50 Android smartphones this year, predicted Marc Andreessen, the founder of Netscape and Andreessen Horowitz, a venture capital firm. The devices will provide Web access to billions of people in emerging markets, he said. "Smartphones are about to be put in the hands of another 3 billion people who don't have them. And that's probably the single biggest thing that's happening right now," Andreessen told Bloomberg TV.
