Pediatricians to lobby Congress for better gun control policies

Approximately 110 members of the AAP will meet with congressional staff today to call for better gun control measures, including a ban on assault weapons, stricter background checks and federal research on the prevention of gun violence. "Gun violence is a public health issue that profoundly affects children," the group said.
