Simple economics is the best reason job seekers may want to pursue alternative-academic careers in education technology instead of tenure-track positions, Dartmouth College's Joshua Kim writes in this blog post. Demand for education-technology jobs is growing, and such professionals create value for schools, Kim writes, noting that ed-tech skills can be transferred to other fields. "An ability to scope out and develop online courses, modules, content, and activities is a skill much in demand by anyone in the education services business," Kim writes.
