Report finds race affects financing for small businesses

Black and Hispanic entrepreneurs tend to rely more heavily on their own money when launching their businesses than whites do, according to a new Kauffman Foundation research paper commissioned by the Small Business Administration. Black and Hispanic business owners are less likely to seek loans and are less likely to get funding if they do apply, the research shows.
