Senate prepares to reframe cybersecurity debate

Senators are working to draft their own cybersecurity bill, less than two weeks after the House passed the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act. Some Democrats are saying CISPA focuses too much attention on creating a framework for information sharing and not enough on protecting critical infrastructure. According to a Senate source, each committee with responsibility for cybersecurity is preparing to handle a specific aspect of the issue for inclusion in new legislation.
