Senators urge fight against EU's anti-dumping levy on ethanol

Fourteen senators from both sides of the aisle are urging the Obama administration to contest the EU's anti-dumping levy on U.S. ethanol before the World Trade Organization. A joint statement from Renewable Fuels Association President and CEO Bob Dinneen and Growth Energy CEO Tom Buis called the tariff "unprecedented" and commended the senators for taking action. "If allowed to stand, this rule would set a dangerous precedent for trade and trade remedies in advance of important trade talks between the U.S. and the EU, and furthermore will dramatically change the boundaries and limits of international anti-dumping law," they said.
