Some U.S. funds might have to stop trading amortizing swaps

Some U.S. funds could be forced to suspend trading of certain interest-rate derivatives because of a prohibition on taking cross-border risk. Only SwapClear, which is in London, clears amortizing swaps. While plans are in the works to resolve the issue, an upcoming clearing deadline might mean that some funds will have to put such trading on hold.
