Study: Naturopathic consults may help reduce CAD risks

Counseling by naturopathic physicians in addition to usual care reduced the 10-year chances of cardiovascular disease among high-risk adults, according to a study from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine published in CMAJ. Dr. Nathan Wong of the University of California at Irvine, commented that the study suggests consultations with nurse case managers, dietitians and exercise physiologists could lead to similar results.
