Microsoft's cloud offering Windows Azure and related products have produced more than $1 billion in revenue during the past year, Microsoft's Curt Anderson says. The figure means Azure is becoming a serious contender in cloud computing, currently dominated by Amazon Web Services, Dina Bass writes. "I expect them to double annually from here," Forrester Research's James Staten said. "Microsoft probably has more net new growth opportunity sitting in front of them than probably anyone in the market."
