Workshops aim to ease transition to common core

As Illinois schools get closer to the actual implementation of the Common Core State Standards, some are offering more workshops for educators. One school leader said the recent wave of workshops is the result of not having resources at the beginning of the common core process. "We felt at first like we were on our own," Assistant Superintendent Benjamin Churchill said. "Now we're feeling much more supported. ... It's just taken awhile for everybody to get to the same place."
