Middle East, Asia compete to build tallest skyscrapers

Asia and the Middle East are in heated competition to build the world's tallest skyscrapers, and the projects will likely transform 21st century skyscraper architecture. Taiwan's Taipei 101 currently is the tallest building, rising 1,671 feet, but the Burj Dubai, due for completion in late 2008, will rise 2,624 feet -- far topping the Taipei 101.
