Nurse discusses Campaign for Action initiative

Susan Hassmiller, Future of Nursing study director, said the Institute of Medicine's Campaign for Action aims to recognize the leadership potential of nurses to guarantee health care safety and quality. "This is a historic time for nurses where they have the opportunity to be involved in improving the health care delivery system. It is about nurses owning the responsibility for identifying gaps in the system as well as finding the solutions to address those gaps," Hassmiller said.
