New Zealand educators question academic benefits of gaming

Educators in New Zealand have criticised a recent report that claims there could be educational benefits to video games. Instead, members of the country's Secondary Principals' Association, say video games could harm students' academic achievement. The report, however, commissioned by the Interactive Games & Entertainment Association, found that some parents say video games helped improve their children's knowledge of technology, math, science, planning and language.
