Affluent investors turn attention to nontraded REITs

Nearly half of high-net-worth investors plan to include nontraded real estate investment trusts in their portfolios, according to an IPA survey. The result indicates a renewed interest in REITs; only 30% of respondents currently invest. "After the significant downturn in the real estate market, investors are now saying that the market has turned a corner," IPA President and CEO Kevin Hogan said.
