AOL pitches quality programs, measurement standards to marketers

AOL introduced a slate of 15 original video programs at the Digital NewFronts event, including shows starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Hank Azaria and Sarah Jessica Parker. AOL is emphasizing star power, video quality and measurement to suggest a blurring between online content delivery and television. "There's a moment in time when consumers and advertisers want to start bridging the gap between digital and traditional TV. The two industries are going to become one sooner rather than later," says Ran Harnevo, senior vice president of video at AOL.
