ASTA commends Obama's choice of Foxx as DOT secretary

ASTA has voiced its approval toward President Barack Obama's nomination of Charlotte, N.C., Mayor Anthony Foxx for the post of secretary of transportation. "As the leader of a city boasting one of the busiest airports in the country, Mayor Foxx knows how critical the aviation industry is to the health of both the national economy and local economies. We are confident that, once confirmed, Mayor Foxx will act as an advocate for the most important aviation stakeholder -- the traveling public -- and urge the Senate to confirm him without delay," said ASTA President and CEO Zane Kerby.
