CenturyLink expects to offer gigabit Ethernet service to 48,000 residential customers this fall in Omaha, Neb. The telecom will offer the faster Internet service to consumers for $79.95 a month if it is bundled with other services or $149.95 as a stand-alone offering. CenturyLink will also offer the service to business customers, but pricing was not specified.
