Colo. House OKs raising renewables goal for rural electric co-ops

A bill that would raise the renewable portfolio standard for Colorado's rural electric cooperatives advanced on a 37-27 vote in the state House of Representatives. Under the bill, the co-ops must get 20% of their electricity from renewable sources by 2020. The measure heads back to the Senate, which must reconcile its version with the House-passed version.
