Financial education needs to start young, CFPB says

The usual approach of Americans learning about finances through trial-and-error is "utterly unacceptable," says Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Richard Cordray. In a white paper presented Tuesday, the CFPB is recommending "integrated curricula" that begins financial education in kindergarten and adding financial management questions to standardized tests.
