Ga. cantaloupe growers prep for tougher FDA inspections

A webinar sponsored by the Georgia Fruit & Vegetable Growers Association this month was created to help cantaloupe growers get ready to comply with Food and Drug Administration inspections. The FDA is getting stricter with plans for packinghouse inspections after foodborne illness outbreaks in 2011 and 2012 were traced to the melons.
