General Mills CEO is against mandatory GMO labeling

General Mills Chairman and CEO Ken Powell says genetically modified organisms are safe and that companies should not be required to say on labels whether food contains them. Powell does not object to a decision by Whole Foods Market to require GMO information on labels, he says, but making such information mandatory would be costly and cumbersome.
