Government to address fraud claims and EHRs

CMS and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT are scheduled to discuss an apparent spike in code levels for certain Medicare services following prominent media coverage and a letter sent by Attorney General Eric Holder to five hospital organizations. The Friday meeting is part of an effort by HHS to deal with allegations of fraud tied to EHRs.
