Kan. governor proposes more than $1.2M for stem cell center

Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback has proposed that more than $1.2 million from the state's bioscience investments be used to help launch the Midwest Stem Cell Therapy Center at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Brownback signed the measure creating the stem cell center in April. Brownback's proposal includes $754,500 in annual funding in addition to the startup money.
