LinkedIn is becoming a content arena for financial firms

The financial services industry is using the LinkedIn social network more for disseminating content than for its original networking and job-hunting purpose. BlackRock, for example, is shifting some of its resources away from Facebook, saying most of its followers on LinkedIn are engaged investors seeking content. Visits to BlackRock's Facebook page were more often from competitors checking the company's activity.
