Local research is a focus of new CIRAD project

The Center for International Cooperation in Agronomic Research for Development in France is looking for more local partners to move away from Western-controlled research. The center operates in more than 60 developing nations, mainly in Africa. "The only way for citizens to develop a region is to do it themselves. There is no substitute for local knowledge and human resources," said CIRAD's Pierre Fabre.
