More than two dozen sites in Grand Rapids and other Michigan school districts will continue serving lunches -- and in some cases breakfasts and snacks -- to students this summer who might otherwise go hungry. "We are exposing young people to wholesome and nutritious food and providing families an opportunity for them to stretch already tight food dollars during the summer months," said Paul Baumgartner, nutrition services director for Grand Rapids schools. "School meals are the only meals some kids receive."
