Report: Sloped roof could be part of design for Minn. stadium

A sloped roof -- either retractable or fixed on place -- is expected to become part of the design for a $975 million stadium for the Minnesota Vikings, according to a 400-page draft environmental impact statement. The roof could consist of fabric and hard deck, which would maximize natural daylight similar to the Beijing Water Cube. The stadium's preliminary design is expected to be disclosed at a special meeting May 13.
