St. Jude wins EU approval for quadripolar pacemaker

St. Jude Medical is making its Allure Quadra Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Pacemaker available in Europe after receiving CE mark approval for the product. The device is said to be the first CRT pacemaker to use quadripolar leads and is designed to improve management of heart failure by delivering timely access to crucial diagnostic data, among other functions.
