Survey: Fewer Colo. teachers have confidence in evaluations

As Colorado transitions to a teacher-evaluation model that bases half of a teacher's assessment on student improvement, a recent survey of more than 33,000 educators shows that confidence in the evaluation process is declining. The TELL Colorado Survey finds that 79.8% of teachers reported feeling the state evaluations are fair -- down from 84.1% in 2011 when the survey was last conducted -- and 61.5% said the evaluation process improved their teaching -- down from 74% in 2011.
