Technology problems persist as states administer online tests

Four states are reporting widespread glitches in online testing, including incidents of delays and students being logged off the system while taking exams. In some cases, the problems in Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota and Oklahoma are raising questions over the validity of the test scores. Officials say the issue has occurred with multiple vendors. "I think the only thing the ... states have in common is that technology is not infallible," said Charlene Briner, chief of staff of the Minnesota Department of Education.
