Wages increased faster than benefits in Q1, report says

Wages and salaries for workers in the U.S. increased 0.5% in the first three months of the year, while the value of workers' benefits increased 0.1%, the Labor Department says. Overall compensation for U.S. workers increased 0.3%. "We are seeing very weak wage growth," said Gregory Daco, an economist at Global Insight.
