Weather Channel unleashes Tornado Week stunt on Twitter

The Weather Channel is promoting Tornado Week with an indoor "Twitter-powered tornado" -- a stunt where the network's interns work in an office space where wind speeds increase the more people tweet with the hashtag #TornadoWeek. The Weather Channel says it will boost the "effective wind speed" to at least 200 mph if the campaign garners a million Twitter mentions. Viewers can monitor the interns' office space over a live stream on YouTube.
