Taking Mickey out of McDonald's

Even a brand as powerful as Disney's needs to freshen up its image every now and then. Concerned by criticism from child health experts, Disney withdrew its sponsorship of McDonald's Happy Meals three years ago and started putting its characters on whole foods such as bananas, avocados and eggs. The result: Disney's image got a boost, as did sales of healthy foods.
