Former Baltimore Mayor William Donald Schaefer, who passed away recently, will be remembered for transforming his city from a crumbling wreck into a vibrant up-and-comer. Business leaders can learn from Schaefer's ambition, his diligence, and above all his showmanship, writes John Baldoni. "Schaefer saw public office as a form of public theater," Baldoni recalls. "People need to see their leaders in action, and if they have a sense of showmanship, it can enhance their personal appeal."
