7 new coronavirus infections surface, 5 of them fatal

A recently identified coronavirus related to SARS has infected 24 people, killing 16 of them. Seven cases were reported to the World Health Organization this week by the Saudi Arabian government, and some officials have raised concerns that the country isn't sharing information in a timely, transparent manner. Although Saudi Arabian officials said the new cases were only recently confirmed, WHO infectious disease expert Keiji Fukuda emphasized the public health importance of reporting cases quickly and completely.
