Balance app helps track medications for dementia patients

Balance, an iPhone application that acts as a virtual pillbox, was launched by the New York-based National Alzheimer Center to help track medications for dementia and Alzheimer's patients. Caregivers or patients can use the app to check off a box after a pill is taken and create alerts for upcoming medication doses or doctor appointments.
