When working with grieving clients, financial advisers must respect their emotions while helping them chart a new financial future, said Corgenius CEO Amy Florian. Whether the client has lost a spouse or a beloved pet, every staff member must be trained to be sensitive, and the adviser should personally follow up with the client. "You walk people through the toughest times of their life, they will not keep you a secret," Florian said.
