Broadcasters call for one-month extension for indecency comments

Broadcasters have petitioned the Federal Communications Commission to extend deadlines for feedback for its indecency regulations proceeding from May 20 for comments and June 18 for responses to June 19 and July 18, respectively. NAB, noting the continuing controversies over indecency rules and their First Amendment implications, believes "the comment period must be sufficient to provide all interested parties the time and opportunity to consider and present their views."
