Experts: Western states face active wildfire season after dry winter

States across the West are likely to experience an active wildfire season this year, according to the National Interagency Fire Center. "We're looking at a combination of a low-moisture winter and a warming and drying pattern in the West that will increase the fire potential," said Ed Delgado, the center's predictive-services manager.
