How to deal with clients who have chronic illnesses

Financial planners should ask all of their clients about their health to find out about illnesses that could affect taxes, insurance and the way planners handle meetings, says estate planner Martin Shenkman. Some chronic illnesses may not be apparent, and some clients won't disclose them unless asked, he said.
