Most government CIOs aren't ready for cyberthreats

A Consero Group survey of 36 local and state government chief information officers found that 28% of respondents experienced a hacking incident or attempt last year, but only about 50% said they were prepared for cyberattacks. The survey also notes that although most respondents have the systems needed to combat such attacks, about 42% view them as vulnerable to cyberthreats and security breaches.
