Ore. governor plans to sign bill on driver's cards for some immigrants

Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber plans to sign a measure that would allow restricted driver's licenses for immigrants who are in the state without legal permission. Supporters say the legislation is aimed at improving road safety. "When we have uninsured, untested drivers, there's a cost to society," said state Rep. Jessica Vega Pederson, one of the sponsors of the bill.
