Report: Restaurant wine prices are on the rise

Growing demand and smaller supplies are driving up the price of wine at restaurants, according to Restaurant Sciences. Wine prices jumped 8.4% during the past six months at family restaurants where the check topped out at $38.50, and rose 5.4% at fine-dining establishments where meals can cost as much as $1,000, the report found.
