Researchers discover how to slow aging in mice

Researchers discovered an immune system pathway in the hypothalamus that helps control aging in mice. Molecular pharmacologist Dongsheng Cai of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York discovered that activating a complex protein in the hypothalamus sped up aging. Blocking that protein prolonged the mice's lives. Researchers hope to use their findings to slow aging in humans.
