RIAs post increased M&A activity for Q1

Mergers and acquisitions involving registered investment advisers increased in the first quarter, but the size of deals decreased, to an average $447 million, according to Schwab Advisor Services. The 13 deals, the most since Q1 of 2012, put the industry on track to top 2012's total of 45, Schwab says.
