Rural providers make strides with EHR adoption, infographic shows

Data from the ONC reveal that seven out of 10 office-based doctors now employ EHR systems, which they find helpful in areas such as viewing patient charts remotely. Meanwhile, a HealthIT.gov infographic shows that more than 60% of rural primary care providers are making progress toward achieving meaningful use, contrary to reports that EHR use lags in rural areas.
