Toxic metals found in some lipstick and gloss

Researchers from University of California, Berkeley, found cadmium, lead, chromium, aluminum and other metals in commonly sold lipsticks and glosses. Playing with makeup is potentially dangerous to children since no level of lead exposure is deemed safe for them, study co-author S. Katharine Hammond reported in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives. The FDA should pay greater attention to the issue, Hammond said.
