Premier takes issue with CMS' final rule on VBP:

Premier has expressed concerns over the CMS' final rule on hospital value-based purchasing, saying the performance rating thresholds are too aggressive and contradict adoption of the Agency for Healthcare Quality and Research's standards for inpatient quality and "buggy" patient safety. "We believe that CMS' policy will disadvantage hospitals that take on complex patients," the health care alliance said in a statement.
