Calif. school includes on-the-job tech training alongside academics

A new technology-focused charter school in California is being equipped with a television station and a radio station as part of a growing trend toward offering students on-the-job training alongside academics to better prepare them for future careers and college. The Millennium Charter High School in Monterey County is set to begin classes in August with 58 freshmen and 58 sophomores.
